The 44th president of the United States, the first black president, Mr. Barack Obama, said “On every front, there are clear answers out there that can make this country stronger, but we’re going to break through the fear and the frustration people are feeling. Our job is to make sure that even as we make progress, that we are also giving people a sense of hope and vision for the future”.

61 years ago, your country was born; breaking free from oppression and pushed to stand out through the formulation of policies that invests largely on your people. You are Ghana!

Your country holds a special place in Pan-African history. With your democratic system serving as role model to other African countries, you’re worthy of emulation and you’ve also been traditionally celebrated as one of the leaders in African democracy and development. You’ve immensely motivated other African Nations to explore their natural resources, encouraged local manufacturing and build national technocrats who have in turn improved on the development of their respective nations proving that anything is possible.
You’ve shown us, the youths on the African continent that, we owe it to ourselves to create the change we want to see, that it is our responsibility to demand accountability from political office holders, our responsibility to build seek posterity, to write our own stories of change starting from the corners where we are, to be effective leaders of social change, to rally our allies and unleash the full power of Black Panther to defeat our foes and secure the safety of our people.
To consolidate your democratic system, we as Young African Leaders align our actions, reasoning and policies with the spirit of Ubuntu and Pan-Africanism. We now know that Africa is a rich continent and the wealth belongs to all the People, not to narrowed political and economic elites. To be better than our predecessors and continually ask ourselves these critical questions:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIP?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
We pledge to collaborate to plan for change, we pledge that these Action Plans will be implemented and we will deliver a great AFRICA.
Happy 61st Independence Anniversary Ghana.
