Davido, Nasty C, Betty G, Falz And All The Artistes That Won Big At 5th AFRIMA

So the 5th All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, happened on Saturday night at Accra, Ghana and Davido took home the coveted Artiste of the Year award. Another big winner of the night was Ethiopian singer, Betty G, who won Best Album of the Year, Best Artiste in East Africa and Revelation of the African Continent awards.

Tiwa Savage won for Best Female Artiste in West Africa while Davido also claimed Best Male Artiste in West Africa. Sensational rapper Nasty C won for Best Male Artiste in Southern Africa while his Nigerian counterpart, Falz, won for Best African Rapper and Lyricist. South Africa’s Shekhinah took home awards for Song Writer of the Year and for Best Female Artiste in Southern Africa. Davido’s ‘Fia’ producer, Fresh VDM coveted Producer of the Year.

South Africa’s Yvonne Chaka Chaka, also known as The Princess of Africa, was honoured with the Legendary Award following a career that spanned three decades, opening up South Africa’s pop music to the global audience.
